Because a certain J is bent on challenging me with English terms and little stupid things which stemmed from the dress code of a certain army mate's Father's funeral, I have no choice but to do this.
So pray tell, and correct me if I'm wrong, of the meaning between "Don't Know" and "Not Sure".
From my understanding, "Not sure" would mean an uncertainty in something; a vague idea, while "Don't know" would mean having completely no idea; being not in the knowledge of a certain thing at all.
Like, "I'm not sure if this is the right path to go, but I do remember we were supposed to turn right." and "I don't know which path to go! Left, or right?!"
Correct?

Nuances, dear, nuances. Tone, pitch and surrounding clues tell you what they mean.
I'm not sure if I don't know; I don't know if I'm not sure.
Both sentences make great sense right? Therefore, they could esentially mean the same thing if the setting is appropriate.
It's like, "I think, you thought, then who confirm?"
Find other things to quibble so we have more exciting entries to read. How about the difference between hor fun and kway teow?
We've fought over Hong Kong mee or Hor Fun amongst other food before. haiz.
