The church is full of hypocrites.
Go to church for mass/service, and wait till the moment we're supposed to wish others 'peace' or 'good day', and you would receive many limp handshakes, forced smiles, dazed eyes and eyes who would glance over your shoulders instead of meeting yours.
I went to church on Sunday, because J wanted me there.
And what I've realised over the years still holds true.
The church IS full of hypocrites.
The prodigal son was the passage of the week.
In short, from my own understanding, (which might be flawed. But I couldn't care less.) it meant:
Accept Christ only when you're dying, so that ALL your sins will be forgiven and your soul be renewed; thus die pure and sinless.
Accept Christ before you're dying, and you'll be expected by God to continue with the good work, and thus you will not be able to sin as much as you like, GUILT FREE.
But for those like me, who knows Christ, rejects it, and still feels NOT GUILTY sinning, then I guess I'm just damned in hell until my last breathe where I repent and beg for forgiveness.
Oh well. *shrugs*
The Church is FULL of hypocrites, but there's room for ONE more.
