Ramblings of another nincompoop.: Hog's Breath Cafe!

My day didn't start out great, because the Queen Bitch was out to be the bitch that she is.

From the moment I woke up, till I stepped out of the house, she was out to pick a fight. Just because Shorty's away, and no one's home to talk to but the Crazy Aunt.

Anyway, J wasn't being very empathetic, and made me cry. But he made up for it with a trip down to Vivocity, where we had Brunch at Hog's Breath Cafe!

I've been to Hog's Breath Cafe a couples times before with the other J, and the food was in fucking big proportions, and a plate could feed two!

I was mighty famished from the crying and the bad start to my day, and so we (once again), ordered more than we could finish.

For Appetizers, we ordered the Finger Food Combo for $19.95!

It's a combination of Potato Skin with bacom bits and mayonnaise, Buffalo Wings, Salt and Pepper Calamarie and Crumbed Chicken Tenders (which was too dry, and looked over fried and a little charred.)

The Honey Mustard was fucking nice though, and helped to mask the smell and dry-ness of the charred tenders. =.=!!

But overall, the appetizers were rather appetizing, and the yummiest of all had to be the potato skin. LOL. (Weird, right? Of all the finger foods, it had to be the potato skin which most probably was recycled from the mashed potatoes and salads of other main courses. =.=!!)

Now onto Our Main Course!

J ordered a Boss Hog Double Burger, of double beef, double cheese, tomato, onion, BBQ sauce and BEETROOT! With sides of twisted fries and salad! >_<

$18.50~! The food's so visually appealing!

The patties were made of 100% minced beef, unlike those you tend to find in fast food chains which are either mixed with corn flour or starch, or reduced to the 'thickness' of paper! The beef patties were fucking thick and each bite was PURE beefy goodness! Fit for a beef cake like J! ROFL.The beetroot stained his teeth pink, and from across the table, I THOUGH HIS GUMS WERE FALLING OUT! LOL!!

Next up, was my main, a FULL RACK of pork ribs at $32.50! I wanted to order the half rack at $23.50, thinking I might not be able to finish, BUT J didn't think so. LOL.

The sweet and sour sauce complimented the ribs well, and helped keep the appetite going. The layers of succulent fats was really bad for the heart and my weight, but I didn't really give much of a damn. (Though J was a little conscious over the fats.) LOL.

We took our time to our meal, but was interrupted every few minutes by a bunch of waiters and waitresses all too eager to clear our plates. WTF. I would've understood their eagerness to clear the table if the restaurant was experiencing rush hour, and were lacking seats, but the restaurant was LESS THAN 1/3 FILLED and there were visibly empty seats ALL AROUND! WTF. Pfft.

The final annoyance came when this waitress with HUGE fugly eyebags stared down at me while J was away from the table, demanding to clear the table. Grrr... Even though I was done with picking at the bones and eating the ribs, I flatly refused to have the plates cleared.

Ugh.

Apparently she wasn't too happy about being stopped from clearing the plates and so I purposely took more pictures just to spite her. LOL. (Yeah, I know, I have nothing better to do!)

OMG, have you ever seen anyone eat their ribs so cleanly?? LOL. The ribs were pretty well done and the flesh separated from the rib bones easily. =DLooks like I'm a bigger eater than J cuz he couldn't finish his burgers at all!
