DOWN!

Sick.

I've been coughing for almost one whole month and I wonder when is it going to stop.

My lymph node swelled up a few days back and I've been spitting blood stained phlegm from the coughing and infection.

Left me no choice but to call up the polyclinic to book an appointment for 2pm later.

Me:"Hi Doc, I've got a lymph node infection. Give me the meds."

Doc:"Need MC?"

Me:"Yes please, I've got work."

(2 minutes later)

*Walks out of the clinic.*

NOT!

Instead, it went something like:

Doc: " Soooooo, what's wrong with you today?"

Me:"I've been coughing for a month and it won't stop."

Doc:"Oh that's bad"

*Checks throat, breathing, heart beat, nose.*

Doc:"Looks like you have a bad bout of cough but it would be safer to do an X-Ray, so would you like to go for an X-Ray?"

Doc:" From your medical history I see you've had Sinusitis issues before. But from what I see the cough isn't related."

*Stares blankly at Doctor.*

Me:"Um, you're the DOCTOR. You're supposed to diagnose and tell me the course of action I should take to get my health back!"

Doc:" Wellll, it's up to you if you want to take an X ray, so do you want to take an X-ray?"

Me: " How would I know if I should take an X-Ray or not when I don't even know what's needed to get an accurate diagnosis?!"

*Fed up*

Doc: " Okay then, please proceed to level 2 for your X ray and come back about 45minutes to one hour later for the X-ray."

So I went to get my X ray done, wasting an hour plus of my time while an INTERN from NYP fumbled around with the X Ray machine.
When it was finally done, the nurses told me to go home and have my lunch before coming back for the X-ray.

I did just as I was told, only to be called back 15 minutes later to get my X ray results which showed no signs of TB.

WTF.

A quick visit to the doctor ended up taking 3 hours. JUST.LIKE.THAT.

I've got a 600 word report to write. It's not a mean feat, since it's shorter than a 1000 word essay written in Secondary school.

BUT I'VE FORGOTTEN HOW TO DO REFERENCING.

What I'd learnt in school just slipped out of my head and now I'm trying hard to recall.

*cough* *sigh* *cough*
